Worlds first gay politician elected in Nepal-Sunil Babu pant
Mr.Sunil Babu Pant is a prominent person in Blue Diamond society. We all know that Nepal is a Caste dominated nation. Gay community is a minority community there. Mr.Pant represented this minority group and has been chosen as the candidate for Communist Party of Nepal.

This is definately great news but I would like to point out that Mr. Pant is not the World’s First Gay Politician as you have stated - I am sure you have heard of Mr. Bertrand Delanoë, a member of the French Socialist Party and Mayor of Paris since 2001, who is openly gay. Other gay politicians are Mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereit and Mayor of Hamburg Ole von Beust.
